Working in the harbor village of Camden, we sometimes forget about inland Maine and its country charm, peace, and serenity. This client was intrigued by the rolling countryside and majestic views from her Lincolnville antique Cape. When formulating a plan of attack, we maintain that classic cape look and highlight it with bright colors that seem to extend a welcoming palate.
The adorable little girls bedroom was whitened with Dove White paint and a colorful window treatment was delicately lit up with a bright, Nina Campbell pattern and embellished with detailed trim.
During restoration, an original, vibrant red wall paint was exposed in the office that complemented the design elements we had envisioned. To add a bit of lightheartedness to the red walls we captured the red in a Clarence House Aztec animal fabric and highlighted the windows with a simple pinch-pleat curtain execution.
The small, cozy living room cried out for light and texture. We used large wing chairs with tufting to add subtle texture and brightened the room with a clean, crisp yet soft blue wallpaper highlighted with a fresh white paint look.
