At the head of Camden Harbor overlooking the waterfall, windjammers, and pleasure and commercial boats, this pristine one-family owned house was to be transformed into a “comfort zone.” While a major renovation took place focusing on exceptional harbor views, this client’s was very interested in the intermingling of quality furnishings, fabrics, and accessories with quality workmanship from local workrooms, craftsmen and artisans. The overall approach was to convey a sophisticated harbor home look.
Our extensive knowledge in a variety of textiles enabled us to blend the softest of cashmeres, the finest embroideries, and the smoothest of silks throughout the house. Holland & Sherry upholstered furniture, Stark carpets, and Manuel Canovas window treatments conveyed quality and comfort.
Window treatments were of particular importance, a bold and warm presentation with attention to the finer details. Extensive use of trims conveyed everything from delicate highlights to intricate fabrications.
An abundance of pillows in plaids, animal prints and embroideries provided casual comfort for the window seats, sofas and chairs. Cashmere throws trimmed in fur were thoughtfully placed for additional comfort.
Coordinated accent tables and lamps were added providing convenience and style. Wall coverings were from Brunschwig & Fils and Osbourne & Little.
